Northeastern Pennsylvania Optometric Society (NEPOS)
promotes the highest quality eye and vision care by optometrists,
provides its members with post-graduate education and membership benefits,
and conducts activities in the interest of the visual welfare of the public.
NEPOS is the only organized group of Optometrists in Northeastern Pennsylvania
dedicated to the advancement of the practice of optometry through continuing
education, legislative awareness, and public outreach. Our utmost goal is the
unending support of the delivery of the highest quality eye care
for the residents of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
NEPOS is a local society of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association (POA)
which is a state organization of our national Association, The American
Optometric Association (AOA). The purpose of all of these organizations is to bring
optometrists together to advance the profession and better serve our patients.
We are stronger together and our patients are the ones that ultimately stand to
benefit from our unified efforts.

As primary health care providers, doctors of optometry have extensive, ongoing training to examine, diagnose, treat and manage ocular disorders, diseases and injuries and ocular manifestations of systemic diseases.
